Harumi Community

Last week our friends from Sapporo came to visit. They used to live in our building and we built a sweet community with them along with a couple of other families in our area. We had such a sweet time of fellowship with them last Friday. We did Hanami picnic but it was a bit cold so after eating we went to a local play area. Then our friend offered to have us for dinner so the kids could play while we talked. My friend lives in an apartment that is about 500 square feet, and she is a family of 5. But rather than keeping us away because it would be a bit tight, we all squeezed in. It was such a fun night. And quite humbling as they cooked in the dark because they kept blowing fuses because of using so many different items in the kitchen. But they wanted to cook us a nice meal so they cooked in the dark. It was a fun evening, one I will never forget. We did not get home until 11:30PM! Nobody wanted to leave. I am so blessed that God gave us such a neat neighborhood to call home.
