Decorating Christmas cookies

We have been decorating Christmas cookies with one of Miss M's best friends since they were 3 years old. Now they are seven. We noticed today that they still like to eat the candies as they decorate as they washed their hands about 15 times in 30 minutes. But they make much nicer cookies now rather than just dumping the entire lot of decorations onto one cookie. We enjoyed the morning together with good friends. We ventured to get hair cuts (four out of five of us got hair cuts today from the same lady). The hair salon had a Santa and Mrs. Clause costume to put on the kids after their hair cuts. They were adorable in them. I am really enjoying this Christmas break...trying to embrace the mess, the chaos, the boxes, the cookie droppings on the floor, and savor time with our kids, my husband, and most of all our Savior.
